My attempt at facial blendshapes (shape keys). This would help out for potential animation projects. Will need to make more character models and some props however. Either way, Dakki is more expressive now!

I scanned the manual for my So Dakki (Houshin Engi) resin kit from Kotobukiya a while back so I did an edit with flat coloring. *Will do the veil next*

During 2024, I decommissioned my Pentium 75 PC due to wanting a new case for it. However after a case swap attempt after I got two AMD K6/2s, I scored a Socket 7 motherboard for a rebuild. I hate Dell motherboards at times. Oh look! a DALLAS battery (dead), may need to replace that in the future.

As a Gen Z myself, it's has a certain vibe we normally don't get in today's tech. Also I grew up without the latest trends and only had a Pentium III (which is 8 years older) with Intel Graphics running XP in 2007. People be playing Crysis while I played something accessible like Doom and Quake.

A later correction + bad news. Turned out that the fix wasn't caused by modifying IPX over UDP tunneling.
To sum it up, ROTT had standalone server support (aka dedicated) and the code was integrated into CGA. Centralizing it and combined with the move to a VPS made it playable. {See reply for more}

YAY! The Original Rise of the Triad Multiplayer has been fixed! I can sleep happy knowing we have more options outside of Ludicrous Edition and WinROTTGL
That aside, this might be a great improvement not just for ROTT but for other troublesome IPX games to some degree.

With many months of improvements up until October 2023, I went ahead and tested the idea of Akage without the lipstick..
There is a reason why I stuck to using the lipstick funny enough. Something seemed off without it. Or maybe the red lips I had back in 2022 wasn't lipstick?

It's fascinating to me on how level design was like back then, especially since most people nowadays are spoiled by Doom Builder and Trenchbroom. Meanwhile games like Take No Prisoners and Mageslayer had levels made using 3D Studio Max.

Funny bit. I printed this ad on a piece of paper and put it on my wall using thumb tacks many years back. It's a poor man's poster and I still have it on my wall to this day.
