You know what? I don't wish Beyond Good & Evil 2 to ever come out, and I'm happy with that. it's better not having the game at all than waiting almost 20 years for a total disappointment, turning a unique game into another modern Ubisoft release. same thing applies for Rayman 4, sorry Rayman fans.

It all reminds me of the legit xenophobia in the late 2000's/early 2010's when G4 was joking about dropping bombs and Phil Fish was telling devs to their faces at panels that Japan sucks. Here's a game that does what devs have always done, but now it looks and talks like us so we like this.

The most remarkable thing I've perceived of this game is that it does everything JRPGs are already doing, but with the presentation of "notice me Hollywood" Sony games rather than the Japan-isms that western critics don't want to admit they're embarrassed by because they would have to look inward
