These fraught times call for a show with what is either an intentionally or unintentionally hilarious title, and which I will be talking about for the rest of the year

i was extremely ambitious in my early 20s; i dropped out of high school, i didn’t go to college, but i landed a good corporate job, i thought i had a lot to prove, and i gave them even more than 9-9-6. i destroyed my life for a company and i still got laid off.
this may be controversial, but i think we should be much more skeptical of life advice offered up by people in their early twenties.

this would DEFINITELY not result in marginalized people in the industry being endlessly bullied and voices being critical of problematic aspects of the industry being silenced
it would ABSOLUTELY not become a fascist echo chamber within minutes

The world you grew up in no longer exists.
It was taken from you at the very edge of greatness because rapists, pedophiles and sex offenders deemed civil rights less valuable than their sensibilities.
Devote every day to fighting back against them to satisfy one iota of anger at that loss.

I have been affected by layoffs at the games company I worked on for the past 6.5 years.

It's a bad time to be in this industry, I put all my skill points in life into drawing silly stuff. If you have any job prospects I can follow, feel free to let me know. Thank you.

I feel like one of the weirdest, clearest examples of people trying to decide what people like is the insistent push to keep animation in a box that was built for it in the 80s, when there's clearly so so much money to be made in pursuing it seriously
Animation ruled streaming in 2025. Again. Nielsen data shows 'Bluey' repeated as the most-watched title across all genres, while 'KPop Demon Hunters' was the most-watched movie, and Seth MacFarlane won the inaugural Streaming Icon of the Year award.

Animation Dominates Nielsen's Year-End Streaming Charts
'Bluey' was the year's most watched anything, 'KPop Demon Hunters' took the top film prize, and Seth MacFarlane won Streaming Icon of the Year.

I would love to see a remake of IX in the vein of VIIR if for another reason cuz timeline shenanigans would mean we could make good on Zidane commenting on how it could have just as easily been him in Kujas place

Imagine part of it being Kuja in Zidanes place as the hero unsure of his origins

We need something akin to the FDA for tech.
the strongest AI critique is that the tech is widely used and fairly powerful, and therefore a democratic public should own and/or control the means of building and deploying it
if your position is that the tech is worthless, will go away on its own, is inherently bad, etc etc, you are going to die on that hill. there are absolutely bad actors in the space and you are passing over the bad actors to stake a losing position about the code

To avoid the possibility Holocaust remembrance might lead to empathy for migrants, Trump's antisemitism envoy claims Anne Frank "was in Amsterdam legally."

In reality, Margot Frank received a summons to go to a labor camp on July 5, 1942. After ignoring this call, they were in Amsterdam illegally.
