the thing with the massive amount animated sequels, and i wont blame anyone for seeing them, but everytime people complain about how many franchise focused studios are, yet the original films always bomb/are underpromoted, while the sequels rake in millions, and it happens every time without fail

Apparently every Chinese academic in any field of “interest” to the PLA is getting their visa rejected for, more or less, presumptively being a spy. My friend’s visa is denied because she studies “neuroscience.” What she actually studies is jaw pain - but ICE is flatly rejecting all appeals.
