He proposes releasing some ICE prisoners to labor on farms where the employers will “own them” and be responsible for them.

Historians have spent decades meticulously proving the straight line between slavery and modern capitalism’s concept of the laborer—or we could just let them say it.
The camp is to filter out workers for Trumps new Slavery policy where he sells them to businesses.
He says so in this video

This is from The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson aired on May 20th, 1977.

Carl Sagan says something very important, a strong message that didn't lose any validity since then.

A reminder that if the government can send migrants to a prison camp without any due process, it can send U.S. citizens there, too. I know because this happened to me and my family in 1942.

How could any of us have known a recession was going to hit us by the middle of 2025?

I wonder... did anybody see this coming? 🤔

This is your yearly reminder that “wildflower” is a marketing term and if you buy a wildflower seed mix it is probably mostly Eurasian species and you are not helping your local pollinators. You may even be introducing invasive species to your neighborhood.

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source.

Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

I just spilled some liquid nitrogen and as I watched the droplets glide across the floor on their vapor cloud I noticed two collide and they set up a beautiful high amplitude n=2 oscillation. I should have taken a video, I could have measured the viscosity and surface tension.

Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.

Bear with me for a second while I try to explain.
