The Virgo, my concept for a crewed mission to Venus sometime in the next century. The design is based on the astrology glyph for the planet. It uses rotational artificial gravity.
A ship in front of Venus. The ship is shaped like the symbol for Venus, with a big ring and then inhabited portions on a tether.

Did you see Segal in The Quiller Memorandum? One of my all-time favourite bits of acting. I think he was massively underrated.

California Split is amazing. Gould's a fantastic actor. Love Segal, too.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

As I have grown older, I have become increasingly passionate about ensuring that marginalised histories and stories, especially those of people of colour, are told truthfully and creatively in comics. That said, I wrote a story about Indian troops in WW1. downthetubes.net/uk-comics-la...

It tells you everything you need to know about British politics that the only people who have ever had to apologise for Nigel Farage's long history of racism are the people who dare to call it what it actually is

Nigel Farage Is a Racist
The media is refusing to state the most bleedingly obvious facts about a man whose entire career has been devoted to pursuing a racist political agenda

tbh this is making me pretty happy and hopeful too (Amazon aside) bc it's like...not a relatable mental health book!! it's not about depression or anxiety or self care, things most kids get, it's about something people think is scary and violent and inappropriate for kids to hear about. thank you ❤️
hello sunshine entry on Amazon has 4.7-4.8 rating and is top new release in teen and young adult fiction on depression and mental health

#31horrorsoundtracks starts with a perfect organism - Jerry Goldsmith's ALIEN (1979). Goldsmith's main theme has a melancholy inevitability about it, and it's surrounded by exotic acoustic and electronic instruments which add up to a terrifying, yet often beautiful, experience into the unknown.
