Low-key non-binary trans women are the majority of my trans women friends and it's so funny how unaware so many non-trans women tend to be about its prevalence simply because they expect every non-binary trans woman to be a degendered toy for them to project onto and abuse.

Anyone who's into this kind of hell will probably enjoy Cradle in UCD part 2, it's a hyperdense megacity but its inhabitants and designers can't let go of single family homes and backyards so towers are built that layer suburbs vertically

The internet does not belong to JUST you or the USA (thankfully). And just because you recognize a name, it doesn't mean people are talking about you.

Part of a conversation in which an American "fella" has butted into a thread by a bunch of Irish people discussing candidate for Irish presidency, Jim Gavin.

banjogall: "You seem upset. Who's Gavin Newsome? We're discussing Jim Gavin."

NYCNAFOFELLA: "Looks like this fight against international Putin loving fascists is going international. And who the fuck is Jim Gavin?"

banjogall: "Jim Gavin was a nominee in the Irish presidential race, until he pulled out at the weekend due to a scandal whereby he owed a former tenant €3,300. Not sure what Putin and fascists have to do with this."

NYCNAFOFELLA: "Announcing this on a board where Americans are in the fight of their lives against a fascist takeover may be a pointer..."

banjogall: "Other nations must not discuss their own politics online. Got it."

The exchange starts before this excerpt, like one expects: the Irish posters are talking about their national politics and the American poster butts in to condemn Gavin Newsome, presumably because they thought talking about a "Gavin" meant the only Gavin they knew of - Gavin Newsome.

It subsequently dissolves into base insults from NYCNAFOFELLA after that, and mockery from the Irish and international community who take umbrage at both the American insistence that everything happening online must be about the USA and that Irish people are anglos (which is a massive insult to Irish people).

Yeah, and something that I liked about the videos is that he's really even handed with it too. All it does is end up showing how and why it doesn't and will never work for making anything that anybody really wants to play, and how little it actually offers compared to currently existing games.

the vast majority are simply rugpulls or pyramid schemes in the shape of games with the ugliest and most expensive skins you've ever seen. often produced on the back of billions of dollars of seed money. some of them have been under development for years now too.

there's a youtuber who's been playing nft games for years (www.youtube.com/@jauwn) and I think the best he's found is some that are functional and mechanically average, in part because they hadn't integrated blockchain stuff yet. so it's probably even worse than you'd expect.
