You're welcome. And you're right - it's certainly confusing given its view of St. George's. I think they've introduced (or reintroduced?) it relatively recently, with le big anniversary looming. For ref, it's near a Turner and a John Martin.

Lovely, impressive work - we were introduced to Lewis at Mostyn Gallery earlier this year. Looking forward to seeing it in the context of this exhibition 👍

Back teaching and also a few thousand words into a PhD. Very torn about putting our website, The Double Negative, on hiatus - or not. We launched in 2011. It's been v important for both of us (my partner is cofounder). Part of the weekend will maybe be spent trying to come to a decision.

Mike found that one of the clear wins of BEDROCK was its situating of specific artists at multiple sites. Among them, ChihChung Chang, exploring the slippage between stories we think we know and those as experienced by living, breathing places: www.thedoublenegative.co.uk/2025/08/sett...

Hi! We've been on a much needed break, but thought we'd pop in to exclaim that it's the final weekend for Liverpool Biennial 2025! We've written a few words around this edition. A good place to start is with CJ Fagan's My Life in the Biennial with Ghosts: www.thedoublenegative.co.uk/2025/06/my-l...

This was interesting - a potted social and cultural history of the relationship between women and cat-ownership, slurs and misogyny. Could have done with more than the allotted 30mins. And maybe not a male presenter with no experience of having a cat!
