Library worker, here. Get in touch with your local libraries and give them your contact info. We regularly get books our policies often don't allow us to keep (encyclopedias are often in this list, as well as books that are very well loved), so we try our best to find homes for them.

It doesn’t matter if you pay for it—buying digital media only gives you the illusion of ownership. In an era of mass censorship and the erasure of history, physical media is king.

Make space for your favorite books. Especially if they’re on a ban list.

Nothing more crushing than realizing the book you were working on simply isn’t ready to be told properly by you so you pivot to another work… after 65,000 words and several breakdowns.

The publishing industry seriously needs to move away from Microsoft Word being the industry standard.

As a matter of fact, move away from anything being the standard if it forces AI on people who didn’t want it and then makes it opt out (usually a difficult process for no reason too)

It’s getting to the point where the publishing industry should probably be looking at alternatives to its frankly pathological dependency on Microsoft Word.
