It was such a poignant example of a woman needing to smile and be sweet in the face of a violent, emotionally stunted man. This is *why* we women behave this way. But this man happened to have a gun.

It seemed to me it was her kindness. It showed that she, not he, was the dominant figure in the exchange. So he had to dominate… and then call her a “fucking bitch.”
