Given what you know about moribund states, do you think there's a way out of America's gridlock between the party of impotence vs the party of creeping authoritarianism without some sort of permanent and catastrophic collapse? If so, what is it? If not, most fun way to ride it out?

Otherwise we need 2/3 of Congress to agree on several things that will drastically curb Republican power and the proliferation of their propaganda. That will simply never happen

The sort of president who can actually do something about this will have to take Trumpian tactics in order to safeguard against another Trumpian president. There is no path to that without breaking procedures and norms, like packing the SCOTUS or demanding an end to the filibuster

I don't like chronological feeds because they get dominated by a few people who post a ton and people who post infrequently are buried

If my feed were given to me in alphabetical order of the last letter in a post and nothing else, that would be an algorithm because the feed had to curate that for me

I'm not getting my posts chronologically. There is an algorithm of weighed values deciding what posts show up on my feed based on what I like, who I follow, what they like, etc

That's generally how billionaires get policy they want. They buy candidates. You can basically fund a universal healthcare tea party and use your connections to pour gasoline on the fire. You don't even have to figure it out

It's laudable to use your wealth to cut down on med costs with an alternative

Weirdly, I'm the happiest I've been in my life in my mid 30s. Got to travel to St Louis to see friends without any attacks, may be able to have a career some day. It was extremely shit and now everything is pretty damn good
