I try not to stay in it any longer than I have to. In fact, I don't even try to pitch a thing until I have a clear idea of what it's going to become and am well on my way toward making it that. Too many different ways it can fail to become anything at all.

For all the right's complaints about "identity politics," they're the ones who are constantly, CONSTANTLY, trying to define good and bad, right and wrong, in terms of what people ARE (or claim to be, or are perceived to be), without any regard whatsoever to anything they have or haven't DONE.

I would just like to see Schumer channel his inner Mitch McConnell, if he has one. Because Mitch McConnell never passed up a chance to throw a wrench in the gears, even when he was in the minority. Whereas Schumer passes up EVERY chance he gets.

And don't get me started on Durbin.
