"We should use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our military.” - Donald Trump, proposing to use Americans for target practice.
Hi, WaPo. You left out the most important part: Trump demanded that the states TAKE BACK any monies already distributed. Here's how your competition covered it (although you already knew this...):

I'm really surprised Baldo didn't consider that a seated position means more shots of the (bald) top of his head...

Ah. So you'd like this to happen: (Spoiler: It has.)

As a retired tech writer, Steve, I'm entirely understanding of and sympathetic concerning typos. But this one is a doozy!

Thanks to my George Soros Stipend, I was able to purchase this Highly Professional Sign, whereupon I proceeded to achieve a state of Highly Whacked Out while I attended a tiny No Kings rally.

...and by "Democrats" you actually mean "Americans," right?
September 16, 2025 at 10:29 PM
Um... Let me see if I understand this... You think that Democrats decided to vote against someone who had at least expressed support for the Gazans and vote FOR someone who wanted to get rid of all the Gazans and turn the strip into a resort?

You can see it in this post! The period is much closer to the last letter when a proportional font is used, which makes the space obvious. (Re: "rivers" - these can occur in proportionally spaced print as well, but are less common.)

HI, Rick - If you go into settings, you can flick the switch to require you to add alt text to any graphics you post. Alt text is really helpful, not only to the sighted, but to those using text readers who can't see your graphic.

1 - Uh... geez, this is sad. I guess he really has gotten rid of anyone with enough courage to tell him that this bit of prose would get him, at best, a D- in 7th grade English.
2 - Wait until the military folks find out that he's raising prices on bombs, torpedoes, mines, etc. by 30%!

Anyone know why all the major stock indices just fell off a cliff? I haven't seen any breaking news...

Funny thing about that "100 year flood event." The Guadalupe river has experienced "major" flooding (above 20 feet) in 1987 and 1932, and came close in 1996, 2000, and 2007. A climate change models indicate that, with the atmosphere holding more and more moisture, such flooding will be "normal."

Fun fact: Johan Vaaler, who for some reason is credited with the invention of the paperclip, patented his rectangular wire creation - pictured below - in 1899 in Germany. The Gem paperclip, also pictured below, was already in production, was more functional, and became the worldwide standard.
