BIG new batch of images sent back by Perseverance! Took some work, and my laptop struggled, but what a wonderful view... Look at those beautiful dust dunes, sculpted by Mars' icy winds...

As they say, "Welcome to my world..." ;-)

Hey! All the planets are still visible tonight, and will be for one or two more (Saturn is getting lower and more difficult but Mercury is still getting higher, closer to Venus every night) so go out and look after sunset!
If you go out tonight after sunset (in a few minutes for the East coast) five naked-eye planets are visible (not counting the one you're on).

Saturn is lowest, about 5° above the horizon above and to the left of where the Sun set. It's faint and VERY hard to see. You'll binocs.

Webb is solving mysteries it created. Remember “little red dots?” They seemed too big to exist in the early universe... and maybe theory couldn’t account for them. It turns out they may be a new class of galaxy containing growing supermassive black holes. https://t.co/OXo6TzNgus https://t.co/Y
