I went off half cocked on this, but the fact that Pete has 18 seasons in the NFL as a head coach and made the playoffs in 12 of them is a lot better than I thought it would be

I mean Jimmy coached for five years at Miami and won one title; Pete won two titles and played for a third at USC. Jimmy coached five seasons in Dallas and won two super bowls; Pete won a Super Bowl and played for another in his first five years in Seattle. Jimmy didn’t repeat his success in Miami

I covered Belichick with the Pats I felt he'd do better than Mack Brown, but not much better. I didn't predict that he'd lose interest in running a program with an iron hand in favor of sex with a woman one-third his age. I understand, but it's embarrassing. Also, he's stealing UNC's money.

I feel like we've known for years that big-time college head coaches usually fail in the NFL, because those are two totally different skillsets, and yet so many NFL "knowers" somehow never imagined it might work the same in reverse.
