The problem is that nowadays too many people do it because they can, gentrify those places and chase locals away by making housing unaffordable for them. Look at the situation in Lisbon, for example. What is low for you with a salary from the US isn’t nearly as low for someone with an Italian salary

Maybe it depends on where you’re from but Greece is definitely not considered a “poor people’s vacation” in my environment 😅 in fact my parents have never been to Greece (although they’d love to) because it’s too fucking expensive and they’re not even “poor” to normal people’s standards

€1,652, one bedroom, “ideal for students”. Are you kidding me?? Students? That is WAY more than what most students have in *total* to get through the month. Munich is really designed for the richest kids and we’re living in hell

I still haven’t figured out why 35% in Germany are so much more unpleasant than in Southern countries. Thought it was humidity and of course close to 70% is a lot (screenshot for Munich) BUT then I checked it for some Mediterranean places… and it’s not that much better or even worse. So what is it?

Very easy spinach gnocchi pan:
1. Prepare gnocchi
2. Fry garlic in pan
3. Add fresh spinach to garlic
4. Add some fresh tomato
5. Season with lemon, salt, pepper, nutmeg & oregano
6. Add dried tomatoes
7. Add prepared gnocchi to pan
8. (Optional) Grate some Parmesan cheese and add it, mix it, done
