Who decided that 10/ 11 am on a Thursday would be a good idea to start a ticket sale?? You know that this makes it way harder and often impossible for average working people to buy tickets 🥲

True, e.g. most Europeans think it shouldn’t depend on your parents whether you go to uni, while many Americans don’t see any issue with that. But in general I think it’s more disagreeing how help should be organised, government vs charity etc. It’s not like Americans generally don’t want to help.
I do believe there is a difference in values between us and the Americans. We believe in helping strangers. That making sacrifices to help people who we do not know, or who we might not even like, is still something we should do. We might share this with Canadians, but I don't see it in Americans.

Being the middle child somehow is the best of both worlds, but you also have all the disadvantages.

It sucks to be “judged” for being single but you know what’s also strange? When I mention I haven’t dated a guy (neither hooked up etc.) in X years and people go like “oh wow respect” for what?? How is that an accomplishment 😅 dating is hard, it literally takes zero effort to NOT meet a man

I always wonder how men survived before when they claim they can’t do any share of the tasks at home because they work full time. Sure it’s a little different with kids but - we all have to work full time and do all the household chores on top, what exactly did you do before you had a wife??

It annoys me for absolutely no reason when people never remember in which direction the clock is being turned. Like please it’s twice a year, every year, and it’s not that hard to remember? Are you dumb?

Allowing remote work for office jobs would be solving so many problems we have (more available housing in big cities, a higher population in the dying smaller towns and villages, higher productivity cause no commute) but nooo we can’t allow that someone may run their washing machine while working

Maybe it depends on where you’re from but Greece is definitely not considered a “poor people’s vacation” in my environment 😅 in fact my parents have never been to Greece (although they’d love to) because it’s too fucking expensive and they’re not even “poor” to normal people’s standards

I don’t get it. Americans complain the job market is bad, then they move to Europe to countries where the job market is also bad, and work remotely for a US company 🧐 why not stay in the US then in some beautiful place away from big cities? Where you could also do your remote job, and build a house?

Yeah we are all “living above our means” but of course conservatives never ever mean themselves with it, the only goal is to keep their own lifestyle while the poorest in society get even poorer. THEY live above OUR means.

Yeah we are all “living above our means” but of course conservatives never ever mean themselves with it, the only goal is to keep their own lifestyle while the poorest in society get even poorer. THEY live above OUR means.

I’ve learned a Greek word. Kakistrocracy. A government ruled by the least suitable or competent citizens of a state. I think that’s a perfect description of Germany in 2025

My time at university (in Germany) was easier because it was still before Covid. Now everything including rent is more expensive and students are often basically below the poverty line while the understanding or empathy in our society is very low. People don’t understand that it *is* harder nowadays
It varies greatly where students across Europe get their money from, but many live on low incomes and work a side job to make ends meet.

My time at university (in Germany) was easier because it was still before Covid. Now everything including rent is more expensive and students are often basically below the poverty line while the understanding or empathy in our society is very low. People don’t understand that it *is* harder nowadays

Somehow Spanish food is very overrated but also really good, but also not that special because a lot of it is stuff I can just make at home on a random Tuesday as it’s just “common Europe food”, but maybe exactly that makes it great

People complain a lot about Germans switching to English when they want to practice their German but u know that happened to me in Spain too. I think it’s usually just trying to be polite. But I really kept responding in Spanish and insisted while they kept talking English all the time and idk why
