Well, that’s the end of an era. TikTok is gone. I was fortunate enough to have encountered so many wonderful creators on there, some that have affect my life and I’ve followed to other platforms. Insane that I’m legit really sad about this

One of my favorite parts of being a horror fan is being in a theater with other horror fans. Last year when I watched Terrifier 3, I was surrounded by people laughing and having as much fun as I was. One of the best theater experiences I’ve had in a long while!

As someone who grew up in the LA area, can I just say that I really love firefighters? One of the only jobs I still feel childlike whimsy about, like I can look at them and be like “yeah, I want to be just like them when I grow up”

One thing Newsom should do *right now* is a statewide rent freeze. They did it during lockdown, they can do it again. And yes, statewide, because every landlord within 200 miles of LA is eagerly waiting for fire refugees to move into their area.
What can we expect to come from these fires?
Housing is fucked. Rents will skyrocket. Homelessness will go up. People will leave the area. Unemployment will expand. The film and tv industry is even more screwed. Building materials will run short. Infrastructure repairs will bankrupt cities.

Hopefully one of the long term benefits that come out of the UHC CEO hit is the re-humanization of policyholders in the eyes of these healthcare companies. Or at the very least the scaling back of the “profits over people” attitude that corporations have been running

Every time I see a clip from LOTR on tiktok or social media or wherever, it makes me want to sit down and binge the trilogy again. The hobbit movies, Rings of Power, any middle earth content makes me happy. Absolutely hyped for War of the Rohirrim!

Last year around thanksgiving I watched the Eli Roth horror movie “Thanksgiving” and it got me wondering if there were more thanksgiving themed horror films. Weirdly enough, there are actually a bunch. Adding “ThanksKilling” to the top of my To-Watch list
