302, not an area code. Red or Dead.

Born one of the luckiest people on earth to be a fan of Kansas City sports when it was awful & when it was great.
Never had saffron, leeks, & shallots in tomato bisque before today but now I'm a changed person, I've accepted it all into my grateful gut.

On a roll so far with 6 new films I hadn't seen before already under the belt this year and not a single disappointment in one of them.

Watched Red River last night & thought it was extremely poignant that all these faux macho right wing tough guys list off a bunch of the Duke films as their favorite but never this one. Too tough looking into the mirror of failed rugged individual masculinity.

A genuine classic.

Had a truly truly truly unhinged triple feature of Boogie Nights, City Slickers, & Seven Brides for Seven Brothers last night. Let me tell you, Seven Brides is much more offensive & tasteless than Boogie Nights, not even close.

I adored PTA's first film though. First viewing!

every (straight reporter) story about ICE agents is like this, they’re all people who steal from the collection plate and beat their wives and and won’t stop making lewd remarks to the 13 year old girl next door and this is the only place in america where they could remain employed for six months
you’re a fucking grown ass man putting a 16 year old kid in handcuffs and then you steal his phone and sell it to a vending machine? what in the entire fuck is wrong you?

Made fun of Dilbert 25 years ago as a child, make fun of it now. All offense, Scott Adams was a hateful bag of chemical waste on this pale blue dot.

The ending of the Shadow Wars on Babylon 5 was incredible. Especially Vir finally getting to relive his little speech he gave Morden early on while "seeing" him that final time.

The divorce rate in Kansas City is something like 90% right now. Just sad how things turn out sometimes.

Babylon 5 made the most of the Warner Brothers brand connection.

Also, I do hope Daffy Duck is relevant in 2261.

Finished the Lord of the Rings & can't quite understand the why right wingers claim to like it so much as it's filled with love, empathy, friendship, mercy, & compassion yet they don't have a lick of any of those.

Honestly and full heartedly, what an absolute loser.

Starfleet Academy looks tremendously awful. Don't know why they decided to make a 2014 concept show now AND waste Giamatti in the Trek universe.

Reading Return of the King and finally understanding why people get so mad and upset about the Barrow-downs swords in the movies. No spoilers but the complainers are right: Peter Jackson messed up big time just having Aragorn hand them such an important MacGuffin.

Fellowship of the Ring just looks & feels so much more fantastical than the other two. The elves feel much more alien.
