Also the party keeps talking about how we need to get paid for things and she's like "I have eight gold, that's probably seven more gold than I need, I'm good." And they're just "my sweet, sweet summer child" at her.

Promise: Did they threaten you? Because we can take them. [looks at the party] Yeah, I mean, I think we can take them.
Mayor: No, no, nothing like that. What if I told you that...the Red Brands and the town guard are essentially one and the same?
Promise: Then I would say you need new town guards.

Listening to "What If It Doesn't End Well" on repeat and thinking about her coming to care about the other three she's traveling with against her will and worrying about it bc what if she messes it up and they end up hating her or they get hurt?
