I wonder with these Marvel-style, cluttery “kitchen sink” posters, if the artist put some random person in near the bottom, would anyone notice?
Hello, Sidney...

Fear hits home on the brand new official poster for SCREAM 7 from director Kevin Williamson.

My notifications whenever I’m about to click on something I actually want to look at on my phone:

A favorite thing of mine is putting on a cartoon series I watched as a kid and discovering Tim Curry voiced the villain of the week.

Preaching to the choir here, yes, but here’s a GREMLINS edition of why AI should not to be trusted.

A big regret from my childhood: not taking photos of all the cool shit I witnessed in the ‘90s, like the giant Lego T-Rex that Meijer displayed for the Jurassic Park vhs release, or when all the employees at my local theater dressed as Ghostface for SCREAM 2’s opening night.

Not a fan of features like this for one major reason: If you’re “selectively” out, BlueSky can inadvertently out you to all those cousins, in-laws, old friends and gossipy co-workers you’re not ready to deal with yet.
v1.112 is live!

We’re launching Find Friends, a contact import feature that helps you find people you know on Bluesky.

Try it! In the mobile app, go to Settings → Find friends from contacts.

I *love* that a) Spielberg is releasing an alien-themed flick with DAY in the title next year and b) it’ll still be in theaters while we celebrate 30 years of INDEPENDENCE DAY.

It’s not a perfect movie, it’s not a good movie and hell, it might even be overpriced a smidge, but for the first time in maybe ever, HERE COME THE MUNSTERS is available to purchase legally in the US.

Picked up some Christmas vhs (and King Kong Lives) at the antique store today.

GREMLINS 1 & 2 are my go-to comfort movies for when I’m feeling down (or festive). I can never watch just one; I have to watch both, and the commentaries, and the deleted scenes too. If workprints were available, I’d watch ‘em too. Gremlins brings out the best in me; they replenish my energy bar.

I too am announcing my bid for WB: this voucher for a free GODZILLA Experience cd-rom from Taco Bell and a $1 off coupon for K-Mart.

Sinners is a period piece horror film that cost about $95 million. it brought in $367 million worldwide. don't tell me people don't go to the movies anymore. they do. they're just tired of constant remakes.

If there’s Warner Bros. (or New Line) movie you’ve been looking to buy, particularly one that’s licensed by a boutique or released by Warner Archive, I’d consider buying it asap.

I’m of the mind that mergers are bad for everyone.

Perhaps more a pet peeve rather than “Person Do Bad,” but there’s a movie account who leans SOLELY on other ppl’s work (collection pics, ad scans, archived commercials, etc.). It wouldn’t bother me so much if they’d at least cite whose Instagram, YouTube channel or article 100% of these comes come.

I’m just saying, if I were stuck on an island with only one album, three movies or a single actor’s filmography, I’d be sad. I thrive on variety.

AMC Backstory once did an episode on the original DIE HARD. While many of its episodes have been included as special features and/or uploaded online, this one is my white whale.

Always a blessing from the movie gods when a vhs tape still has its original promotional flyers.

Someone watching the last MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE movie on their notification-ridden iPhone after the 9th time the film reminds you who William Donloe is:

“Who’s this guy?”
Oh my god. She's 1000% right. This makes so much sense.

There’s a particular brand of STAR WARS pedantry I must kindly protest:

Yes, Lucas did tinker with ANH immediately in ‘77 and sure, some revisionism does happen in restoration; however when someone says they want “the original versions,” they very clearly are referring to pre-1997 special effects.

Found this Ninja Turtles VHS poster at the antique mall recently and *HAD* to have it, and of course now I’m displaying it on my wall like the Mona Lisa it truly is.
