Give yourself something to look forward to next year. Something less substantial than a resolution which can carry regret if you can't stick to it. Think of a book you want to read, a genre of music you'd like to learn more about, a curiosity to chase no matter how trivial. Keep your spark lit.

Freshman year of college a girl who lived on my floor said she wanted to shrink me down to Polly Pocket size and carry me around with her. I don't remember what prompted it, but it was during a History Club meeting and most of us (esp. me!) were weirded out, but we just kept the meeting moving 😆

Just gonna casually repost this bc I think I posted it at an awkward time bc I (mostly) understand writing, but do not understand how to advertise that I've done it 😆
My final blog post of 2025 is a return to my more poetic/philosophical side.

![Tsuchigumo is a Noh play.[1] More specifically, it is classified as a genzai Noh (現在能),[1] a relatively realistic work featuring human characters and taking place in a linear time line. It is a gobanme-mono (五番目物),[1] meaning that the Nihyakujū-ban Utai Mokuroku (二百拾番謡目録) indicates that its author is unknown.[1] In the modern era, it is part of the repertoires of all five of the major schools of Noh (五流現行曲).[1]
The story takes place in the Heian period of Japanese history, depicting a popular hero of that era—specifically the late 10th and early 11th centuries—taking down a monstrous spider, but the play itself dates to the significantly later Muromachi period (14th–16th centuries).[2]

Update: did not get in a fight, but did say some sharp words to my uncle who mentioned he uses Ch/at/GP/T a lot about how bad A/I is 😆
Last year on Christmas I got in a fight with my mom's boyfriend's mom so my goal for today is not to get in a fight with anyone again, but also Santa brought the 1st day of my period so I am cranky and in pain and may not be able to keep that promise 😆
