Only the military remains outside Trump’s grip. Despite the firing of several top officers—and his threat to fire more—the U.S. armed forces are still led by generals and admirals whose oath is to the Constitution, not the president. But for how long?

AG Bondi, here’s that correction you requested.

Clearly not a lot of grass being touched in the Rose Garden. So much energy devoted to edge-lord garbage 99% of voters never hear about, much less care about.

Yesterday brought news that country star Zach Bryan is dropping a song critical of ICE.

Today, the official DHS account trolls him by using one of his songs (without permission, one strongly presumes) over the kind of cinematic footage Trump loves, of masked federal agents clashing with Americans.
Screenshot of a tweet from @DHSgov dated 7 October 2025. It shows a video of federal agents, under the text "We’re having an All Night Revival"

Well, this should help Republicans win in Virginia next month.

And good fucking luck.

Made me look. And you’re right, it’s very funny, and it sure worked. That NY guy’s bizarre reactions only make it funnier.

I can’t think of anything more likely to serve as an excuse for Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act.

It’s important to flood social media and news channels with news about how ICE lies, so that potential jurors see it.

Yeah, I noticed it when I did it but thought I deleted it immediately.

I kinda remember Trump pardoning a bunch of people for this, many of whom beat up cops and put them in the hospital. I think they were yelling something about the Vice President as they stormed the building.

Ugh, I don’t know why that inset thing is there. Must have clicked something by mistake.

Oddly, I still remember my fuss-budget 5th-grade teacher calling that use of "hopefully" incorrect. It was the first time I'd ever heard that claim (and my father was an Edwin Newmanish, prescriptivist English Comp instructor), it seemed dumb to me even at the time...and the time was ~58 years ago.

Post first, ask questions later (or never). Ffs, they sued more than four hours ago, and it was immediately in the national news.

We must now start calling this what it is: Trump’s Invasion. It started with federal agents, it will soon include deploying federalized members of the Illinois National Guard against our wishes, and it will now involve sending in another state’s military troops.

This is a breathtaking abuse of the law and power by the President of the United States.

America is on the brink of martial law.

Do not be silent.

This evening, President Trump is ordering 400 members of the Texas National Guard for deployments to Illinois, Oregon, and other locations within the United States. No officials from the federal government called me directly to discuss or coordinate.

After announcing a $20 billion bailout of Argentina, the White House now says it's pausing $18 billion in funding for NYC infrastructure projects
