Dangerous times

If someone is an avid supporter of 2A, but says that school shootings are of no consequence, then IDGAF if they were shot. Kirk was a self-described fascist who belittled the victims of shootings, and Democrats are being too kind about it. As far as I’m concerned, he deserved it.

Denunciations of political violence are too tasteful for the moment. Piously expressing respect for Kirk’s work and incantating the importance of “debate” are capitulations to Republicans’ invoking standards to which the right no longer pretends to adhere.
