Players are so used to game worlds bending to them at every conceivable moment that they genuinely get upset when it doesn't happen and the game requires something else from them.
I think this also explains a lot of Gamer Behavior. They're not used to being told no. Ever.

I know developers are afraid to deny players what they want or expect, but I genuinely believe that doing so — intentionally & thoughtfully — can mean players *remember* the game long after, like a grain of sand in an oyster turning to a pearl #ThirstySuitors 💔💦

Something really fucked up for video game media just happened... BKinG, the "NoClip of China", got his YT channel deleted twice and gave up on YouTube.
His channel had dozens of documentaries on the development of all sorts of important Chinese & Taiwanese games - all posted with English subtitles.
