Session 1 is finished and the VOD is up! It'll be on Youtube later. Session 2 starts next week at the same time!

If you missed it, go watch us nearly die to a bunch of rats, see the rogue get one shot by a level + 4 enemy, plus we get revenge for all the parties who died to Volluk!

The players guide is in the PDF, but it unfortunately contains some spoilery things. I can say though that the premium Foundry module for Grave World will have a separate journal with spoilers removed from it. Hopefully Paizo follows that example and releases a standalone PDF.

SF2e content is already available to add into your PF2e game on Foundry using the Starfinder Anachronism module.

Next PF2e system update shpuld even add area fire support for NPCs as we move closer to a full SF2e system.

Just finished this one. Fantastic riff, incomprehensible film. What was this acid trip of a movie even about???

This whole section really.
Finally: AI cannot do your job, but an AI salesman can 100% convince your boss to fire you and replace you with an AI that can't do your job, and when the bubble bursts, the money-hemorrhaging "foundation models" will be shut off and we'll lose the AI that can't do your job, and you will be long gone, retrained or retired or "discouraged" and out of the labor market, and no one will do your job.
AI is the asbestos we are shoveling into the walls of our society and our descendants will be digging it out for generations:

We don't plan on dying! We're even going to save (most) of the town while we're at it!

A certain NPC will disagree with our choices, but that's his problem and he's a jerk anyways 🙂

Pathfinder also has shoony, which technically are dog-people (well, pug-people)

But if you want a TTRPG with dogs in it then Pugmire exists.

The actual, good uses of machine learning are largely going ignored by the public and investors while the machine that tells you your 4D math makes you a super-hero gobbles up investor dollars and natural resources like it's Kirby on a bender.

The whole article is just junk. Generative AI is already at the point of diminishing returns and getting worse from model collapse as slop is fed into the hopper. There is no way to prevent hallucination, and we've known that for a while now. It's an inevitable part of how gen these AIs work.

This tells me these folks don't know how LLMs work. LLMs don't *know* anything, they just reproduce text that looks like a plausible answer. That's it. They don't have ground truth or some way to actually "sift through information".
The late psychologist Daniel Kahneman of Princeton University won the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2002 for his insights into human judgment and decision-making, drawing on research in cognitive psychology. Kahneman proposed that people have two basic ways of making choices. The first, labeled System 1, is fast and based on intuition and emotion. The second, System 2, is slower, more logical, and more deliberative.

Riva and his colleagues call AI System 0 because, they argue, it precedes the other two and “forms an artificial, non-biological underlying layer of distributed intelligence that interacts with and augments both intuitive and analytical thinking processes.” An LLM-powered agent can take a user’s request, whether for a nearby restaurant or a travel itinerary, and present the requester with a pared-down set of options, based on its knowledge of the user’s preferences and past behavior. The person who made the request can then apply System 1 and System 2 in making a final selection. That decision will not be based on the world as a whole, but on the curated picture of the world presented by AI. “This is a big change because agents will shape the way in which you will experience external reality,” Riva said.

they don't have the capacity to compel obedience by the process of law.

they don't have the capacity to compel obedience by violence.

the only lever by which they can obtain obedience is fear.

do not offer it to them.

To my fellow cishet dudes: when we are quiet about supporting the trans community, the only voices anyone hears are the Charlie Kirks of the world. Don't let accusations of being "performative" or "virtue signaling" shut you up - that's their whole point. Our voices are needed now more than ever.

Just a typo. The AP changes are coming in 2026.

Depends. I thought Hollow Knight was rather meh and silksong is one of the best in the genre. Movement feels significantly better, with earlier and more varied movement abilities.

It is very hard, often unfairly so. There's friction points, like the map still being awful.

For Labor Day, I wanted to talk about the success of Paizo's unionization. We formed United Paizo Workers in October 2021, won voluntary recognition, and ratified our first contract in 2023. This happened because of solidarity, good union training from CWA, and empowerment of the workers.

Finished our test speedrun of Abomination Vaults. It went great, which is to say we had some rotten luck that stress tested a couple potential choke points and we still beat the whole thing. This is going to work out!

Currently planning for a couple days in October to a livestream run

They probably want you to stick to talking about history.

Hey, speaking of history *definitely unrelated* to this conversation: The Erfurt Latrine Disaster.
