My first bluesky post is a cover reveal!

Just look at it! It's everything I hoped for and more! I am so grateful and excited.

Can any book live up to such a cover? Only one way to find out! Pre-order SALVAGIA now!

Today is pub day for Tell Me Yours, I’ll Tell You Mine! However much writing can be a solitary act, putting a book out definitely isn’t. Thanks to Stillhouse Press and all of Tell Me Yours’ many champions.

My first book is out now. I hope you like it.

Not much cooler than a former student’s new book in the campus mailbox. Thanks, @kristinaten.bsky.social

Had more fun doing this interview with @momoshaty.bsky.social for @nighttidemag.bsky.social than I think you’re allowed to have doing interviews?? Talked genre hopscotch, long Seoul walks, and not reading the reviews.

So many bunnies in the dark, creepy, and uncanny! 🥀🐇🖤 I’m thinking Bunnicula, Donnie Darko, Monty Python, Lynch’s Rabbits, Peele’s Us, that scene in Fatal Attraction, and these book covers here…

Scissor-like ears, unblinking eyes. Killer instincts from the bottom of the food chain.

The bad news: Legacy media outlets in America are bowing to fascism. The good news: You have another reason to break free of the remakes, reboots and nostalgia porn they sell you. Support indie creators.

Wrote a photo essay for @puncturedlines.bsky.social about nostalgia, Soviet-era children’s books, speculative fiction, and a recent trip to the country of Georgia. Come for the picture of baby-me talking into a mall phone. Stay for Svetlana Boym 💗

On the current political era of fear and anxiety.
Donald Trump and his fascist administration want us to be afraid because it helps them advance their agenda. The Progressive media ecosystem wants us to be afraid of what the fascists are going to do because it helps their bottom line. And I've about had it with fear. I fully expect Trump and his MAGA thugs to make life harder for many of us--and probably through violent, illegal means--but I refuse to be afraid. I refuse to feel alarm at the day's latest headlines minute by minute. These vile fanatics have threatened my livelihood (successfully) and safety for years now and I've gone through the stages of grief about what our country has become. I've come to accept that they are as bad as they seem and that most people are going to keep their heads down and go along with it. No new low shocks me in the least. Instead, each feels like an inevitability finally come to fruition. A lot of you are coming around to the truth about them at last and you are scared. If this is you, welcome to the party. I mean that sincerely. We're going to need each other. I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing and saying what I've been saying since 2016: Do not give them a single inch uncontested. Mock them. Ridicule them. Push back at the ballot box. Live your life.

Happy rebirth day to the trilogy of my heart. 😍 I stopped into @brooklinebooksmith.bsky.social to sign stacks of the new paperbacks of the Green Bone Saga today. If you move fast, can still order signed copies online or if you’re local to the Boston area, stop in to the store.

We get cred for Dan!

And Ben!!

And Suzanne!!!

on the Hugo adjacent list.

If there’s ever a series where Peter Grant and Fergus Ferguson and Eli Brody team up…

Until then you have the Stormlight Archive, Rivers of London, Finder Chronicles and Galactic Cold War to enjoy.

Great series all
dmoren.com
Hey, the Galactic Cold War got 15 votes for the Best Series Hugo, which I guess makes it Hugo Nominated Adjacent? Can we put that on the cover?
