“We’re here, we’re queer, get used to it” isn’t just a fun slogan to yell. It’s a speech-act: it conveys our (queers’) immutable presence in the world. We’re not going anywhere. We were always here. You can’t silence us. We won’t let you.

That’s what protest is.

Wild story: the acting Social Security chief was warned that terminating data collection contracts with Maine would increase fraud. But he responded that it didn't matter because it was more important to punish Maine's governor for disagreeing with Trump. www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2025/...

Absolute #mustread for Zeteo from Jonathan Ben-Menachem, who also argues that “we cannot allow fascists to use the pretext of Jewish safety to attack our communities.”

Heartbreaking to see announcements of major layoffs at most research organizations that have played a vital role in supporting federal statistics for education and developing high-quality evidence about what policies/practices actually work.

Below are just a few examples from my LinkedIn feed.

I'm a proud mother. Whether I'm walking my son to school or reading him a bedtime story, I do everything to make sure he grows up loved and cared for.

And for the sponsor of the drag ban to say that my existence is a fetish is false & cruel.

I'm glad we were able to defeat this hateful bill today.

"I don't want to lose to a Republican over trans rights", says very defensive person who hasn't faced a Republican challenger since 2016 (including in her new district 44).
In a leaked recording, State Senator Elena Parent (D-42) said she’d vote for Republican transgender healthcare bans because trans rights are too “unpopular."

They turned it over to an algorithm that finally noticed “he likes fire.”
