The stunt performer who played the brother was Olympic Gold Medalist, Mitch Gaylord. He was also a stunt double on the film for Chris O'Donnell. Much, much more about the production in here.

Whenever I turn on The Great Muppet Caper, I end up rewinding and rewatching the 'Hey A Movie!' sequence about ten times in a row. It's a masterpiece of direction, blocking and camera movement, editing, happiness and absurdity.

It seemed as though Pryce saw a younger version of himself in Mescal, and their exchange was touching.

And yes, I am pretty sure I wasn’t the only person in the house thinking “007 villain chats with possible new 007”

I love hearing him describe his beginnings.

There's also this French vinyl release that reuses the instrumental, but adds a load of extra synthesisers on top. This version is the cleanest I have heard.

So the audiobook version had its own life away from the storybook cassettes.

I've discovered that this favorite audiobook version of the horns (& I am guessing everything else) was not part of the recordings for the Ducktales TV show, & not by Jerry Hey or the same players.

It seemed to appear on some versions of the show, in other countries: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtlX...

As I am sure you know, Spinotti has shot several films with Brett Ratner in the past. Apparently each cinematographer photographed a different unit in a different location.

I think the best “low tech” car chase is the opening of Beverly Hills Cop. It’s all done for real and, for a comedy, looks terrifyingly, dangerously out of control. I wince everytime that bus spins in the road. The Pointer Sisters song oddly compliments the destruction.

I think the Lotus chase from The Spy Who Loved Me is the best “high tech” car chase of all time. All of the action is unexpected & it’s so well staged and filmed. It’s the ultimate fantasy of the most skilful driving of the most desirable car, as it outmatches a helicopter and becomes a submarine.

Here's hoping this opens things up for a release of the equally worthy Talespin and Darkwing Duck.
