I think we had the same thought process independently. I checked out Link's posts there, saw you can't yet reply (there is a good-first-issue for it on Tangled though) and then wrote a reply in PDSls.

On my desktop machine I installed KDE Plasma a few months ago after using GNOME for several years. Might give the new Cosmic beta a try on NixOS actually. I think I'm too old and sclerotic to do proper tiling window managers, but Cosmic might just be up to my speed.

yeah so I assume the experience as a suspended user should be more or less the same as a regular user? it ain't great, but in lieu of a Zeppelin-like alt-appview it's alright-ish.

I still don't fully grasp how reddwarf.whey.party works but is this something that would work despite an appview ban? I can see LInk's posts on my end at the very least.

Unfortunate update: Link reached out to BlueSky and got email back now on reason.

His appeal is denied. He will remain permanently banned on BlueSky’s side.

Here are the screenshots he just sent me as of 8:22 AM EST(my time)

I really liked Barbarian so perhaps my expectations were a bit too lofty! I liked it, especially the performances; have to sit with its themes a little longer, maybe there is more to it that I didn't initially see, but I think I expected something more profound!

@spacelawshitpost.me getting suspended on an independent PDS is very concerning, not just because you can't see his posts, even on alternative frontends, but also because no one seems to know what for or how long. Really puts self-hosting into question! We shouldn't need Kuba to have info on this!
