3/ But let’s be real:

Elon’s not coming to your birthday.

Trump’s not going on a bucket list adventure with you.

Neither of them is watering your plants while you’re out of town.

2/ Instead of watching two billionaires cage fight, maybe check in on that friend you’ve been meaning to text back.

Social media is fun. Great for memes and the occasional existential spiral.

4/ Social health is a complex topic and this is only one piece of the puzzle of how do we get to a better place.

4/ Collaborative jobs will create new task frontiers.

The best medical practitioners won't be a doctor or an AI, but rather the team of both. You'll be paid in the future by how well you work with bots. And there are no experts compared to what we'll know 20 years from now.

3/ Intelligence is electricity.

Previously everything was made with human muscle or animal power. The Industrial Revolution harnessed steam power & fossil fuels to make artificial power. AI is going to flow across the grid, so everything we electrified, we're going to cognify.

1/ Technology has natural momentum.

The Internet was inevitable, but Twitter was not. We can actually steer the specifics by embracing the larger trend.

"The possible with social media was giving everyone a voice & helping people connect with friends. But we don't talk about the probable, what's likely to happen due to the incentives. And how the business models of maximizing engagement would lead to doomscrolling, more addiction & distraction."
