Phang: If that happened in January, how in the actual hell is Blanche now telling the American people that they suddenly discovered a million more documents?

GTFOH. As far back as January, the entirety of the Epstein files were transferred to Main Justice at DOJ…

Call the wind energy shutdown what it is - a money shakedown against dutch companies who provide engineering, products, services. The US in the future will look like a failed state relying on coal, oil and scarce commodities markets compared to thriving, clean energy economies.

Ok. Now had a chance to check and, well, at least some docs do appear to be straight up classic redaction fail. And there are some *interesting* bits here.

So you’re telling me that when your country welcomes talented people from around the globe, and brings them together in world-class universities, they make discoveries that save lives? Interesting.

DOJ briefly uploaded this letter from Jeff Epstein to serial child molester Larry Nassar:

"Our president shares our love of young, nubile girls. When a young beauty walked by he loved to 'grab snatch,' whereas we ended up snatching grub in the mess halls of the system."

All of these bootlegged copies of the 60 Minutes segment flooding my feed (saying, ‘Watch it quick! Before it disappears!’) makes me feel like I’m in the Soviet Union and just got some black market foreign newspaper I need to hide under a floorboard in my house.

I’ve made a copy of the 60 Minutes INSIDE CECOT segment. If Substack takes it down, I’ll put it up on my website. I know there are cleaner copies out there, but I kinda like the punk rock bootlegged version. The link is in my pinned post if you haven’t seen it yet.

Ut oh. DOJ posted a bunch of deliberative files on 2019 prosecutorial decisions, then took it all down.

I guess Todd Blanche feels like he has to directly compete with Bari Weiss for stupidity?

Had Bari Weiss just ran the story, it would have been seen by a couple million people tops. The bootleg has now gone viral, and may end up being the most-watched 60 Minutes segment ever. It might be time to rename the Streisand Effect.

"Our story was screened five times and cleared by both CBS attorneys and Standards and Practices. It is factually correct. In my view, pulling it now – after every rigorous internal check has been met is not an editorial decision, it is a political one."

If refusing to comment is enough to kill a story, then the government now has veto power over journalism.
That’s what CBS normalized last night — and it should scare everyone.
