Last night, Democrat Gary Clemons won the special election for Kentucky Senate District 37 by a 47 point margin. Democrats have now won or overperformed in 227 of 255 key elections this year - nearly 90%.

Actually, if he refuses to bring the extension of ACA credits to a vote, Speaker Johnson is not only saying that he finds sharply-rising health care costs acceptable, he is saying that they are his goal and that he will sacrifice his credibility and political capital to cause them.
