Bees will take their nutrients from anything which has sugar and moisture. Feeding them watermelon if conditions are tough is a good idea because it’s got plenty of fructose and moisture! The 2024 photo and information is from Heather Harvey, a park ranger with the National Park Service.

Having a garden is an opportunity to create a mini ecosystem in your neighborhood, we can all make a small difference that brings back biodiversity for pollinators and birds, these ecosystems have a benefit on human health and environment.

For those unconditionally cheering the attacks on Iran, remember that our early strikes in Afghanistan and Iraq were “successful”. But we ended up getting dragged into costly wars that created more terrorists than we killed. The American people haven’t forgotten that.

Something we often forget. Not raking leaves improves soil health by allowing them to decompose and return nutrients to the ground, while also creating a natural habitat for wildlife.
