I don't dwell on the past but it gives me reason to be thankful.
Eight years ago today I was in the hospital, on a morphine drip, unable to eat. I couldn't be with my family for Thanksgiving. That was difficult.
Today I'm as healthy as ever.
I'm grateful for more time with friends and family.

The most unqualified FBI director in history stated this morning that "the previous administration" did absolutely no vetting of immigrants and just let anyone in. 🙄
You'd think someone at this level would be familiar with what red tape it takes to immigrate here. It's a lot.

This was entirely predictable. Many (most?) people knew Trump's statements about "the worst of the worst" were made in bad faith. It was a facade to get what he really wanted, a wholesale roundup and harassment of brown people. To enact his version of apartheid.
This is the scandal. Trump isn’t targeting dangerous people. He’s targeting peaceful immigrants. Almost exclusively.

I don't normally circumvent paywalls, but this is an important story to tell.
I do hope there's some hope for a cure for her. I faced a diagnosis of AML myself. I responded well to treatment and recovered, but I know it could have easily gone the other way.

I've got two of the best little kitties. They're both loving and affectionate, though each in their own way. This little guy is like Velcro. If I'm laying on the couch, he's on me. This is his spot until I decide to get up.
