“I have never seen Danes so upset.”

“When Trump went on television and said he would by political or military force take a piece of the Danish kingdom, it was just too much for me.”

“He’s given up Pepsi, Colgate toothpaste, Heinz ketchup & California wine, & replaced them with European products.”
Something powerful is happening around the world.

In Canada it’s been “Elbows Up.” With the Danes, it’s “Viking Blood Boiling.”

It’s in Ireland, in Mexico, and even the Swiss aren’t neutral.

Nations everywhere are boycotting US goods, tourism and even culture.

Thanks to Trump, Elon, GOP & MAGA.
'Danish Viking blood is boiling.' Danes boycott US goods with fervor as others in Europe do so too
Consumers across Europe furious over President Donald Trump’s policies are boycotting U.S. goods. Among the most passionate are Danes, seeking a way to protest Trump's threat to seize the Danish terri...

“The purpose of government is to enable the people of a nation
to live in safety and happiness. Goverment exists for the interests of the governed, not
for the governors.” Thomas Jefferson

Time and time again history of our country has been canonized through virtues; now its twisted by liers.

What Trump isn't talking about tonight...

His approval ratings are plummeting

The economy is showing major signs of strain due to his policies

DOGE looks more and more like a giant hoax

The GOP is trying to gut Social Security and Medicaid to pave the way for big tax cuts for the rich

Hello?

George washington supported the separation of church and state. He was tolerant and respected other religions and beliefs. He believed that the government should not sanction bigotry or assist persecution

Yet MAGAS deny the truths of what our founders virtues were.

The truth must prevail!

I grew up attending Hanukkah partys, I was Lutheran. I created construction paper Menorahs in elementary school, yet I was not Jewish. I attended Catholic confirmation gatherings, yet I was not Catholic.

It was about friends, connections and enjoying life. What happened to it all?

America was given a choice between a lawless, amoral monster and a qualified, intelligent, joyful woman of color—and it chose the monster. We need to reckon with the reality of what that says about so many of us here.

JUST IN: Inflation ticked back up to 3% (y/y) in January --> the highest since June. The monthly gain was 0.5% (above expectations).

Rent made up 30% of the increase. Gas and food also contributed.

"Core CPI," which excludes food and gas, rose 3.3%. Core CPI has basically stalled since June.

We are in the midst of another coup, except this time we left the front door wide open and let them stroll right in. Are we just going to stand there and wonder how this happened!?

The events unfolding now are, in several material ways, worse than estimated. There are still major issues to address (budget; debt ceiling) but the capture of the treasury and dismantling of agencies by force is beyond even P2025. This is an attack by hostile foreign powers.

Some context here:

In the U.S. the tariffs are like one of 5 major political stories this weekend.

In Canada they are everything. Wall to wall coverage. The clicks on our tariff copy are setting records - never seen a reaction like this to a single-day news event.
If you’re wondering how big of a deal this is for Canada, the public broadcaster has been live-streaming coverage almost non-stop for the past 11 hours.

This was when our partys may not have agreed on all governing principles, but they all in-fact guarded the foundation(s) of democracy, protected a strong institutional belief in our constitution and a deep moral commitment to the philosophy of the American promise.

Spirits giant Brown-Forman — whose flagship brand is Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey — announced that it’s closing its barrel-making plant in Louisville, KY. That move comes as American whiskey producers face 25% retaliatory tariffs from Canada in response to Trump’s 25% tariffs on Canadian goods.
