Amazingly (unsurprisingly?) this is not far from where - 24 years ago - a paediatrician fled her home after vandals thought her job title meant she was a “paedo”, during a period in which the tabloids where whipping up hysteria about sex offenders.

This is a complete mess - they host surf competitions here every year but apparently the Olympics needs an air conditioned judging tower rather than the wooden one normally used.
