I think in a post dark souls world we have completely over thought the concept of fail state consequences. I'm so tired of dying and having to go get my items or souls or money -- they honestly make me want to put the controller down.

Burrito taxi is one of the fundamental discourses of social media. Amazing how persistent it is. What does it say about modern society? What it says about the demographics of social media? What does it say about political ideology/incoherence?

I personally don't care to get into that particular argument, but that's what keeps happening.

The discourse has legs largely due to people arguing with their own imagination of what another person's deal is and not what it actually is.

Proooobably happens to more than just burrito taxis!

There's a wide space between "food delivery" and "scratch cooking" but that space generally isn't acknowledged in arguments.

Just now I saw someone say "cooking is just throwing something into the oven" which, if you're a fan of frozen foods, is often true!

But some insist that's not "cooking"

“A US senator was asked about US citizens killed by a foreign country. She responded by saying she supports the foreign country.”

@premthakker.bsky.social reveals how lawmakers - both Republican and Democratic - refuse to even recognize the Americans being killed by Israelis.
