Here's the adult vaccination recommendations as of Nov 2024. Why did I save these? Because I knew someone was going to try to stomp on this, and not today, Satan. Not today. #CDC #vax #vaccines #getvaxxed

there is one and only one political strategy, and that is: “hang trump like an anchor around the neck of every single elected republican and the party itself.” no ‘friends across the aisle.’ no ‘the fever will break.’ anyone not on board with that has to go. no exceptions

Kahless tells us time is the one enemy no warrior can defeat. In the end, it is how you spent your that time matters most. Spend it being honorable, strong, and kind. Do this and time will not be your enemy, but your gift to those who will be glad to have known you.

Watching 1964’s Fail Safe. An excellent accompaniment to A House of Dynamite. Young Larry Hagman as the translator. Henry Fonda as the President. Walter Matthau as the hawkish civilian advisor. Good stuff.

Just saw House of Dynamite. Second most stressful movie I’ve seen this year. Also, why are end credits on Netflix always at least 10 minutes?

Anyone who is involved in AI adoption in education, or the workplace, ESPECIALLY those who are in the "critical thinking does not exist" camp, should read Weizenbaum's "Computer Power and Human Reason." The Introduction alone drags you out kicking and screaming into the clean fresh air of reality.

If you’re doing a 10 day forecast for Houston, and you come up with cloudy, hot and humid. I mean, sure, you’re right, but…

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if the “physical fitness” of our generals has any outcome on the battlefield, things have gone horribly, horribly wrong.

OBAMA: It's fair to say that 80% of the world's problems involve old men hanging on who are afraid of death and insignificance, and they won't let go. They build pyramids, and they put their names on everything. They get very anxious about it.

Are all of the local broadcast stations in Austin problematic?
- KXAN & KNVA - owned by Nexstar
- KVUE - Tegna
- KEYE - Sinclair
- KTBC - Fox, which is somehow the LEAST problematic option these days for local news and weather.

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

Dear @plex.tv, please roll back the "hot garbage" (New Plex Experience) update, recently forced on Roku users.

It sucks, and apparently everybody hates it. (I certainly hate it.)

(signed) Lifetime Plex Subscriber who is starting to regret it.

@plex.tv, I know you’ve heard it a million times before, but I just received the app redesign through my Roku tonight, and I absolutely hate it.
