If you try to use #ChatGPT, EVEN the "SearchGPT" function, with #Boolean keywords, you will utterly fail. It is a whole different type of searching the web (and again, you ONLY do that with " #SearchGPT," NOT regular ChatGPT). #onlineliteracy #infolit

Three hours until "Evaluating AI Content!" We are going to talk about not only a "quality spectrum" of human-AI content, but also how to discuss with its "creators" about its nature.

Please come with your questions, concerns, doubts, and possible solutions!

From a "work culture" evaluation:

"This individual wants problems to solve and may create one in order to have work."

Essentially, I am an academic racketeer?

In a world increasingly filled with AI-generated content, AI-moderated content, and AI-influenced work, librarians and educators need practical skills to evaluate quality, integrity, and the human judgment behind digital resources.

not to be all it-was-capitalism-all-along abt it but it's almost like no one shld HAVE to create art TO SURVIVE
we'd get better art that way, in whatever format ppl choose to create in
if the platform or medium the artist chooses is built around monetization, it will stifle all decent art in the end

Finally someone gets it...! Read this vvv
I know this is an old person opinion but I think TikTok is bad mostly because it, more than almost any other digital platform, has utterly devalued creative media

In two weeks, on February 3, I will talk about the difference between AI Slop and AI "alloys," or "artifacts."

The question "Was this made with AI?" has become ubiquitous—and largely irrelevant. What actually matters is: Was this made well?

Just over three hours until the "AI Does Books" webinar!

There have been multiple webinars and posts (and social media comments, of course!) about "automating book creation," which just results in more AI slop.

This webinar will, hopefully, help people collaborAIte to make AI books the RIGHT way.

Next Tuesday, I will be talking about how "AI Does Books," and one of the main questions (and rightful concerns) people have had about this presentation is how to preserve the human element. This pyramid will help us talk about that.

Forget Manus, PopAI, ChatGPT.

#BoodleBox just released the ability to create #PowerPoint files that you can download.

This was one of the things that I was relying on generated code for (which BoodleBox was giving me no problem with, anyway), but this makes it even easier!

I love "The Piece of String." One of his most incisive stories.
“Words dazzle and deceive because they are mimed by the face. But black words on a white page are the soul laid bare.”― Guy de Maupassant

This was one of my father's favorite books. I still own his copy, copyright 1917.

Hello Claire, and thank you for writing. I wrote to you via the Witches of Scotland website some time ago and asked if you'd be making a non-wool version of this tartan, as I wanted to purchase it from you but cannot wear wool. I never received a reply, so I bought non-wool fabric elsewhere.

I have been able to do things with #BoodleBox that I have not been able to do with ANY other tool...

For 2/3 of the price.

I have decided to cancel ALL OTHER AI SUBSCRIPTIONS in favor of this tool. No more ChatGPT, no more Perplexity.

Long live #BoodleBox.

Organist: Olivier Latry

What we hear: Latry begins with heartbeat-like pulses in the pedal. In a slow crescendo, we move from 8' flue stops to higher flues to full reeds.

Today was a monumental day for the pipe organ: the grand-orgue at Notre-Dame de Paris sounded for the first time since the fire in 2019.

The four organists at Notre-Dame all improvised on the eight invocations at the organ's debut. Let's break it down: 🧵

I just realized that the 12 Days of Christmas is an excellent example of redundancy (the true love is sending backups of previous gifts in case the previous iterations have been corrupted in some way).
