It probably also has to do with the community putting more emphasis on collectibles that physically exist and meeting up offline.

That burden is too real.
I'm starting to think it eventually comes down to self-marketing skills, making works presentable so they would catch the right people's eyes. And it is kinda exciting :D

Feeling the clash between Finding your own niche VS Wanting a sense of belonging.

This is so relatable. That need for stimulation is real. I can't stand "doing nothing" or environments with no sound basically.

Oh they are absolutely impressive and addictive to collect, I try to stay away from Gashapon malls as far as possible! 😆
It doesn't help miniature sets like these look adorable with chibi figures and Nendoroid dolls!

It's also worth noting that we rarely see these public phones anymore... I think the pink ones have gone extinct, so they really brings back old memories😀

Yeah, I agree. I've been thinking looking into handcrafted collectibles recently, and the people who make these wonderful things using their own hands seem to be enjoying life to its fullest!
I think it has alot to do with being present, instead of being inside the head all the time.

Oh yes Startrek: Discovery was a binge-watch worthy series. I enjoyed it! Perhaps it's time I watched Strange new worlds too, thanks for the reminder!

Planning to watch TOS + TNG + DS9 + VOY and maybe some of the movies for now 🤓
I did some math on the duration if we watched 2 episodes a day, turns out it'll take about 10 months, which wasn't as long as I thought (It took about a year when we watched the entire Godzilla series).

There are emotionally intelligent, thoughtful younger artists, but they are mostly quiet, which ironically makes the less mature loud ones stand out even more.
I genuinely want to help when they reach out, but their lack of empathy (tho I believe it is a learnable skill) is indeed disheartening.

Thanks for sticking up for me. 🙏 What hurt the most was that the person was an anti-A* artist. It's a shame they didn't have the imagination to think how others might feel when their efforts are disregarded or discredited.
It's just sad to see accusations like this directed at writers and artists..
