Isn't the memory remarkable? Woke at 6am. Too early to get up so I spent an hour mentally rehearsing the talk I'm giving at the library on Wednesday. Could remember every word I'd planned. Could I remember what day it was? Or what was on my agenda for today? Could I eckerslyke!!

At least there was enough good light to pick out the goldfinch's colours! Not much else doing, though.

Isn't the memory a strange thing? Giving a talk at the library next week, to grown ups this time, about The Dog with the Golden Eyes. Plotted the whole thing out whilst walking Rosie just now. Can remember it off verbatim, no problem. Can I remember what I did this morning? What do you think??

Well I didn't finish the War on Mice before going to bed, not remotely, but before I went I sloshed cinnamon and clove oils all round everywhere. Not a sign of a mouse in the night! Forget lavender, I find those two oils are real Kryptonite to mousies!!

Good grief!!! I'm trying to clean the larder and slosh clove oil round to deter the mouses. Anyone who's yomped with me knows I am fanatical about emergency chomping supplies, not just enough for me but anyone in need I encounter on the way, 1/2

Well, honestly, you'd think it was unusual for a customer to ask their bank for a duplicate printed statement because mice have colonised and vandalised their own printer!! 🤣😜

Irony alert!! What is going on with the French health service? I had to wait two minutes after my appointment time - shocking!!! 📷 As predicted, it's tendinitis in hips and shoulder, nothing ruptured. Pick the results up on Friday than back to my doctor to see what he advises.

Just back from two talks in my local village in France about English Christmas traditions, to junior school children. Exhausted now, so mainlining on tea!!

These dank murky days are hopeless for the trail cam. This would have been a great shot with enough light to show the colours. Good job it's not film I'm wasting!!

Forgot the Christmas market is this Saturday. I'd like to support it but parking will be hell. Best place is top of the hill BUT my physio says I shouldn't be doing much walking.I'm pretty sure that would rule out yomping up these steps carrying bags of fruit and veg! 😂

Yum! Eating Brazil nut toffee!!! But not as we know it, Jim. Never seen it here but found a bag of caramel toffees with a pinch of salt. Bought some Brazil nuts. Put one of each in your mouth at the same time, and it's exactly the right taste fusion!! Happy bunny!!
