It's true: I wrote a book. And what's more, the book is done and soon you'll be able to own a copy. And what's more more, if you want a hard copy you can order one for 50% off now, with the code SAR50. And if you want it digitally, it'll be open access!

Oh gosh that’s a hard question. I usually listen to audiobooks on 2x speed while reading along to help stay focused (thanks ADHD). I did listen to Why We Sleep while walking Arlo & now I’m obsessed with my sleep hygiene. Also enjoyed Walt Whitman’s America by David Reynolds while walking Arlo.

@colleenlovesbks.bsky.social can we get an archive dog at the SCRC/KLP? Sadly Arlo is not (yet?) a good candidate because he'll want to herd everyone and everything....

Also recommend reading Simone Chess's essay "Teaching Transfeminisms: Avoiding Trans Exclusion in the Teaching of Women Writers" in Studies in Medieval and Renaissance Teaching (Fall 2021). DM me if you can't get a hold of a copy.

"Infect Your Friends and Loved Ones" by Torrey Peters. For a short novel I recommend _Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars_ by Kai Cheng Thom.

In SPINE, I want players to play with the ttrpg's rulebook in innovative ways.

I wrote this essay to think through the design. It describes the various ways we play with books in ttrpgs, with examples of how we use books as props, as anchors for fictions, and how we recreate them as art.
