That doesn't run counter to what he said at all.

Anyone who has been in an abusive relationship recognizes the "Look what you made me do!/Fighting back will only make it worse for you!" logic that runs through all of these admonishments.

They're going to lose two seats (NH and GA), and then Schumer will say it's because Democrats didn't go far enough to the right.

Thanks for reporting on how wonderful a person and citizen she was.

Oh, were you saying all that like it's a BAD thing?

Haha, this is censored under "Threats." Bsky thinks you're going to start force-feeding grenades to ICE agents.

Man, I'd like to think so. That's why I wrote it. But given how people are responding to me as if I wrote a bunch of things I didn't write, I'm beginning to question what exactly people ARE seeing.

Usually quotes are used to denote something the person actually said. To use them any other way is, frankly, lying. Certainly so in this case.

I don't have to do anything. You said something factually incorrect. I corrected you. That's as far as this interaction ever had to go.

There were primaries. Biden got 87% of the vote. It would have been nice if the candidate the vast majority of Democratic voters chose hadn't been forced out, and once that happened there were no good options.

This is of a kind with the guy who said the right is waging a new American Revolution, which will be bloodless if the left allows it to be.

They can declare actual, literal war on us. But to fight back... well, that's just uncouth.

BIG CAVEAT:

If you want to be the person who confronts the murderer, I am 100% with you. Somebody needs to be the person who starts the actual revolution. It will not be me, because I am a coward. But someone, somewhere, will be the person that 1,000,000 people rally behind. That person is a hero.

This might make me the asshole, but I'm cool with it.

We're in a reality that when you see someone being murdered in the street, the only and best thing you can do is document it. You can't stop it. You can't confront the murderer. If you must be the documentarian, you may as well do it right.

That's not what that means.

Progressives weren't being platformed then, either.

This reboot of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is very confusing.

It's not "Americans" in this case, it's the right. They call anything to the left of Hitler "far left" or "communist" or whatever.

Also, your second point is extremely, obviously, and demonstrably wrong. The Dems are, on a European scale, center-left. There are plenty of far-right EUR governments.

Somehow not comprehending what the word "is" means.

Has the Times ever met a fascist it didn't love? Seriously, ever?

Put whatever number you want in place of that 300. I did not intend it as a specific historical demarcation point.

Haha I'm just imagining something like "I hope you feel as good as you look, you sloppy bitch!"

I've got a few people I could say that about.
