To be unique you have to bring a perspective we haven't heard a million times before. Don't blame Black and queer people for having that perspective; instead, blame the society that amplified the voices of people like you for the past 300 years to the exclusion of everyone else.

In a time when every new revelation about people in power shows how they degrade the very humanity of little girls, it's refreshing to see these dads caring so deeply about their daughters' humanity and happiness.

In 2023 I became obsessed with videos of dads in cargo shortswaiting in parking lots during Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. So when she came to town, I grabbed a camera and headed down to talk to them. I thought it'd be funny. It turned out to be something else entirely.

I spanked my daughter twice in my life and she grew up to become National Merit scholar, graduated from GWU suma cum laude, Deputy director of a non profit, a county commissioner, served on the state board of housing under democratic governors and ran for congressional seat. Not all spanking is bad
