Was it on the Couch Surfing podcast by any chance? That's the I/V where he expressed remorse for being an a55hole on the set of Friends, and publicly apologised to the main cast. Clearly in a contemplative, penitent frame of mind back in 2021.

Wasn't familiar with br0wn face as a concept as a 6/8 year old, so when I spotted him in Friends s1e13 it was a little confusing. "Huh. He's... different here somehow?!"

Really intrigued by what the deal with MacWh1rter is - his columns got me into political journalism around 2001/2, and his Disunited Kingdom was a fair summary of indyref and its fallout, but somewhere in the last 10 years he made a sharp turn into rightwing crankery and has stayed there ever since.

I like to think that the drummer finally kicks in because he realises the tempo is completely falling apart - it doesn't really help though because he immediately starts to speed things up massively. I'd say it was deliberate but I'm not giving anyone the benefit of the doubt on this track

that chasm-clearing leap to falsetto in the chorus is a CHOICE

Same! For years I would read Percy / Capt Darling's name in the Blackadder end credits and inwardly say "mcINNery" - was shocked and appalled to listen to a podcast some 30 years later and hear the post casually say "mackiNERNay" like it was no big thing 😳
