How about we do one (1) election where all the *centrists* compromise on the issue of trans rights (since it's so unimportant to y'all, should be fine) and vote with the left. I just wanna see something.

I'm sure this will be a success, like when he kept going into CBD stores trying to prove they sell to children (they don't) and barking "I'm Ken Paxton!" when they followed the law and IDed him.

It's absolutely none of my business what those peanuts have been sitting in.

They're the only ones, as far as I'm concerned.

I don't eat shells from boiled ones, only roasted ones. Boiled shells are all soggy.

Do people do this with boiled?? I've only seen salted/roasted ones in Coke, which is not my thing but I respect the hustle.

Boiled peanuts (generally, though they're reasonably popular in some places) but specifically boiled peanuts from a roadside stand that says P-NUTS, off a 45mph state road in the south, served up from a vat of liquid of mysterious origin and age. Those bad boys hit like nothing else.

Back when I started saving lolcat memes in the 00s, I really never imagined I'd end up with multiple brassica jokes on my phone, but here we are.

In all the endless discussions of LLMs, there’s a point that is, on one level, obvious, but that I feel does not get sufficiently foregrounded: LLMs are transforming material that people have put up on the internet.

I don't dispute that this was foolish and he should know the law, but you should also read the article. He plays for a team there and ordered these by mail to his residence, and they're charging him by the full weight of the gummies, not the amt of THC.

Take a cup, put a chunk of ripe banana (including some peel is good too) in it, then stretch some cling wrap over the top and secure it with a rubber band. take a toothpick and poke several small holes in the plastic. Fruit flies will follow the scent in and won't be able to fly out.

We're just going to keep having pilot projects like this until capitalism eventually falls. Giving houses to the homeless is cheaper than anything else. Giving people healthcare is cheaper than not. Giving people basic income is cheaper than not. Taking care of society is financially prudent.

A program in Flint, MI, gave $1,500 to any/all pregnant people and $500/month for the first year of their infant’s life.

Among the benefits, those babies experienced lower rates of prematurity and low birth weight, which resulted in fewer NICU admissions, saving the city of Flint $6.2 million/year.
