The Heron proceeded to walk right up to the alligator, within a foot or so, and passed by the entire length of the alligator without becoming breakfast. Alligator on edge of grassy wetlands preserve path area. Being passed by a photographer on foot. Observers are advised to not "try this at home", as alligators can move a LOT faster than humans can.
