Seeking Rents looks at how Florida stands to lose $3.5B in tax revenue from large corporations because of Trump's tax cuts if they don't act.

It's fascinating how Florida seems to feel tourist taxes are pretty much all that is needed to power the state.

It appears as though the IACP is going to have some trouble fully supporting the federal government's executions of citizens on America's streets, so I suppose that's a good thing.

Anyone who is working in these agencies as an agent or even as support personnel is facilitating this activity to some degree. If they're sticking around hoping to get through the next 3 years or until retirement, be assured, it's only going to get worse.
Where are the resignations from ICE and CBP??? I guarantee you there are at least *some* who know this is wrong but arectaking the path of least resistance (“following orders”). They need to step down and speak up

Shortly after the shooting this morning, the Border Patrol Union claimed on X that the victim brandished a firearm before being shot and killed.

Kinda surprised they didn't say that he was 10 foot tall, weighed 600 pounds and presented a grave threat to their normal-sized agents.

"Pretti, 37, was an ICU nurse, whose only prior interactions with police seemed to revolve around parking tickets, per Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara."

When the federal government starts viewing parking ticket scofflaws as domestic terrorists, I feel like we've crossed a red line.

We have been told for nearly 30 years that America needed to tolerate mass shootings because the broad availability of guns would help us defend ourselves from an overreaching federal government. That day has come. The people who said this are supporting the federal agents. Many have joined them.
