JD Vance, devout Catholic who prides himself on being a deeply moral person, learns that the government of which he’s 2nd in command has just taken the lives of innocent people and responds with “Excellent.”
Not to be a wide-eyed naïf about such things but... am I right in thinking that they levelled an entire building to get to one guy and *that* is not controversial to anyone in the American media or political class, only that this information was recklessly shared in an unsecured chat?

I thought Politico was unbiased and couldn’t be bought. I was wrong.
Last week, a board member at Politico’s parent company blasted its reporters for alleged bias.

Meanwhile, Peter Thiel has quietly invested $50M in the son of Axel Springer CEO Mathias Döpfner.

The younger Döpfner's new nickname? “The German JD Vance.”

Oklahoma Republicans are moving to change the state’s Social Studies curriculum to suggest to kids that the 2020 election was rigged.

They want to order teachers to tell students that the ballots are disputed and have “discrepancies.”

The standards intimate that the 2020 presidential election results might not be trustworthy.

This is the cruelest thing I’ve ever heard of. It literally breaks my heart.
Ask yourself:

Why would anyone who wasn’t an asset of the Russian government do this?

Why would any decent human being do this?

So sad
Won't Forget It

If democracy survives, this is the one Trump line that will go down in history, like a phrase from the Gettysburg Address.

It's his confession, and now it is our mantra.

We can never forget or forgive what these two men have done to our democracy.
“Thank you again. Thank you again. Won’t forget it,” Trump says while shaking the hand of Supreme Court Justice John Roberts after the State of the Union.
