Finally, it's weird to make this about NDP voters when the Liberal response is nearly the same. (I'm not a member of any party btw). The question was what to do if the US attacks: fight back or make concessions and hope for no more harm.

Also, it would not just be "dying for Canada" any more than Canadians fighting in WWII was simply wasting their lives to protect Canadian land. A US that would invade Canada would be a threat to the entire world.

Diplomacy is not "for p*ssies". Our sovereignty is indeed best defended by strengthening our social systems and peace efforts and alliances. That's not the same as appeasement and it's certainly not be possible if they invade. Let's not be confused about that.

3/ Appeasing Trump does nothing except embolden him. Canada should be in coalition talks with countries around the world who are being targeted or are outraged by US impunity. We are always stronger together.
